The Bedrooms
Wooden beds with crisp white linen, panelled walls, full-length curtains for slow mornings and a wardrobe for a longer stay. Each has a tea and coffee tray, and a modern bathroom with a rain shower and hot water.
Up the wooden stairs and tucked under the gable. A low window by the bed, a wall of glass at floor level and a private turfed balcony hanging above the valley. The room children ask for first.
Sofas along a wall of windows, soft curtains to pull against the cold, and room for everyone to sit together after a day outdoors. This is where the stories come out.
Patterned tile decks wrap around the cottage behind white cross-braced railings. One is set for morning chai, one has a swing and a slide for the little ones, and all of them look straight out at the hills.
Tariff, meal plans and house guidelines are shared with every enquiry, so you always get the latest details for your dates.
Questions and answers
About staying here
Can we book the entire cottage?
Yes. Families and groups can take the whole cottage for themselves. Tell us how many of you are coming and we plan the rooms around your group.
Is the homestay suitable for children and elders?
Yes. There is a play corner with a swing and a slide on the deck, and open orchard to run in. The cottage stands on a hillside, so tell us if anyone in your group prefers fewer stairs and we will suggest the right room.
How is a homestay different from a hotel in Kanatal?
A homestay is one home with its hosts, not a building full of rooms. At Namah that means a single orchard cottage, food from our own garden, a fire in the evening and people who know the hills, rather than a reception desk and a buffet.
